Chloe + Paul [Iowa City, IA Celebration Farm Double Round Wedding]

Chloe and Paul were married on a soaking wet Saturday over Memorial Day weekend. Despite the rain, these two had an absolutely beautiful wedding day at the Coralville United Methodist Church and Celebration Farm's double round barn.

Chloe and Paul met when working in the same lab at the University of Iowa, while they were both working towards becoming doctors. They continued their relationship long distance once Paul started his residency in Michigan, consistently making the journey to see each other whenever possible.

These two are not only gorgeous, kind, and incredibly smart, but they are also very blessed to be surrounded by so many amazing friends and family as they begin their journey as husband and wife.

Chloe & Paul - thank you for choosing us to document your beautiful wedding. It was such a pleasure spending the day with you, and we wish you all of the happiness in the world. Congratulations, and I hope you like the sneak peek!

These mini cupcakes from The Wright Touch Bake Shoppe were AMAZING. And so cute - check out the little "blueberry pancake" flavored ones with a gummy egg and bacon on top.

One of my all time favorites from the day, these two are adorable. chloepaul-blog-57

When I was taking some photos earlier in the day, these two chickens wandered up behind me to investigate. chloepaul-blog-60

Everyone who spoke at Chloe & Paul's wedding (her father, her sister/maid of honor, and his best man) all were so funny and gave great toasts. I especially loved the best man's toast, as he had everyone laughing with his questions and the bride & groom's answers during his shoe game.

Macayla + John [Waterloo, IA Wedding and Electric Park Ballroom Reception]

Macayla and John were married in Waterloo at the Westminster Presbyterian Church, with the reception held at the Electric Park Ballroom on the beautiful, sunny (but a tad windy) 11th of May. As you may remember from their engagement post, Macayla and John were brought together merely by chance (or maybe fate?) when Macayla's car broke down on the side of the road and John was the tow truck driver who came to help. These two infused their entire wedding day with tons of amazing little touches that highlighted their relationship and personalities, from the camo and cowboy boots adorning the bridal party, down to the shiny red tow truck getaway vehicle.

Macayla and John - You two are amazing, and we wish you all of the happiness in the world. Thank you for choosing us to document your wedding day, it was so much fun, and we love you both like family. I hope you enjoy the sneak peek!!

Macayla and John chose to do a first look, which is a great way to make sure you have plenty of time for amazing photos on your wedding day. Trust me, when you see these photos you will realize that it can be just as special (and in my opinion, more intimate) as seeing each other at the end of the aisle. I just love this series, especially John's reaction. mj-blog-14 copy

I have to say, I was thanking my lucky stars that Macayla had a beautiful long veil, which allowed me to utilize the wind in my favor to get some shots with gorgeous natural movement. mj-blog-32 copy
