Josie: 1 Year [Iowa City, IA Child and Family Photography]

Sweet Josie! It's always good to see this family, and I can't believe it's been a year already since her newborn session. Time definitely flies! This little lady is super cute - I just love her little smile.

We started the session with the family, including their awesome pup Ruby, at Kent Park. From there, we returned to their home to do a cake smash, and though Josie wasn't sure she liked cake, we still got a few good smiles! :)

Pattie and Benton, great seeing you guys again! Josie is adorable, and it's always fun photographing your family.

Kristen + Lawrence [Lake MacBride Engagement Photography]

Kristen and Lawrence are planning a July wedding, and because of the crazy late spring we had, this was actually a reschedule but they ended up with a perfectly gorgeous day. These two live in Kansas City, though they are getting married at Celebration Farm here in Iowa City (Kristen is from Cedar Rapids originally).

I love how sweet these two are together! Kristen has a beautiful smile, and as I'm sure you can see by the photos, Lawrence just adores her. They both love to laugh, and also clearly love each other very much. I can't wait until these two tie the knot, and I'm thankful to be a part of their day!

Tru Salon Summer 2014 Editorial Shoot [Coralville, IA Editorial Photography]

Here's a few photos from the Tru Salon Summer 2014 editorial shoot that we did the first weekend in May. Hair and makeup by Kayla, model Emily. I am loving these sessions, it's so much fun working with the girls at Tru.

Ciarra + John [Coralville, Iowa Maternity Photography]

Ciarra and John are expecting their first baby, a little boy, in June. This was also Coelle's 5th practice session, and she did amazing as usual! Ciarra and John are not only seriously gorgeous, but super funny and we just laughed the entire hour. Is Ciarra not the most amazing looking pregnant woman ever? We couldn't get over how fabulous she looked with just a month to go.

Ciarra and John - thank you SO much for giving your time (and baring the chilly weather!) for Coelle to practice. Can't wait for your newborn session and to meet little baby boy!

Megan + Justin [Cedar Rapids, IA Wedding Photography]

Megan and Justin were married on the exact day they met (May 3rd) - just 8 years later. It was such a special day for these two, and I was honored to be a part of it. These two are so in love, and some of the kindest, most wonderful people. Their families and wedding party were so welcoming, and absolutely hilarious - it was really just a beautiful day all around.

There were a few extra special touches, as the ring bearers pillow was made from Megan's grandmother's wedding dress - and Megan wore her pearls.

Megan and Justin - congratulations again to both of you. I'm so glad you had a beautiful day for your wedding, and that you were surrounded by so much love. We wish you the best always!!
