I am in love with these Day in the Life sessions. I can't even tell you how grateful I am that my clients and friends have embraced this idea and allowed me the opportunity to photograph them just living their lives. What are Day in the Life sessions, you ask? Well, it can be anything you want. Think of them as the family photos you really want - the ones you will treasure, the ones that your kids will look at and feel something when they are adults with children of their own. They're the kind of family photos you would take, but better, because YOU (or whomever the person behind the camera usually is...) are actually in them. They are intimate, and special, and 100% you.
So, a couple weeks ago, I met Coelle and Chris at their home in Iowa City, where they proceeded to get the boys ready and then I documented their normal weekend routine. Get up, get the boys ready, and head downtown to Heirloom for breakfast and coffee. After that, a little visit to the playground and a park for some fun before nap time hits. The boys loved it, and it felt so relaxed that Coelle and Chris didn't have to stress - they just were able to be themselves and enjoy their time with their family. So, without further ado... here's a sample of their "Day in the Life".
