Anne from Starry Eyed Ventures [Iowa City, IA Headshot Photography]

Last night I met up with Anne, the lovely owner of Starry Eyed Ventures, a travel planning service focused on making honeymoon planning an effortless experience for brides and grooms.

We had a beautiful evening at the lake for Anne's headshots, who is launching her first website and needed a few professional photos. It was so great chatting with her and getting to know her a little bit! Turns out, we both treat our dogs like humans and both met our husbands on blind dates! I wish Anne's business had been around when I got married, as her expertise and planning would have been invaluable! Having traveled extensively herself, Anne eventually decided to become a certified travel agent and soon had friends asking her to plan trips for them. From there, she went on to create Starry Eyed Ventures, and now exclusively plans honeymoons for brides and grooms! You can visit Anne's website HERE!

Zeke: 1 Year [Coralville, IA Family and Child Photography]

Zeke just turned 1 and I can't believe it! Seems like just a few months ago I met this little guy and his parents for his newborn session. I'm sure the year went even more ridiculously fast for Stef and Jerrod! It's such a fun part of my job to see the little kiddos grow and change from session to session.

Zeke loves his four legged sister Breckenridge, so she came along for the shoot as well and those big smiles on his face - those were all thanks to her!

Tru Salon Fall 2014 Editorial Shoot [Coralville, IA Editorial Photography]

This is the third editorial shoot that I've done with the girls at Tru Salon in Coralville, and it seems like I leave the session feeling more inspired than before. Holly did the hair for their Fall 2014 shoot, using L'Oreal Hair Chalk, and I thought it looked amazing!

I am so thankful to have met the girls from Tru, as they are incredible artists and it is a privilege to be able to photograph their work. I love doing sessions like this which stretch my creativity and allow me to branch out with my photography, so THANK YOU to Holly for choosing me to be a part of this!

The G Family [North Liberty, IA Family and Child Photography]

First, let me point out the obvious - Jack is ADORABLE. Am I right? This little family is just the sweetest, and I love how cute they all are together! Tom and Megan wanted photos of their family, but mostly to document Jack, who turned 1 about a month ago.

We had a great time hanging out with these three at Fossil Gorge, and we explored several spots around the lake and got some really beautiful photos. I hope you guys like this sneak peek!

Ryker: 1 Year [North Liberty, IA Child and Family Photography]

I can't believe this little guy is nearly one already! It seems like just yesterday that I was photographing his newborn session. They say time flies, and I'm sure Kristen and Travis would agree. It's so fun seeing my newborn clients a year later - just one of the reasons this job is the best.

This little cutie was so great at his session, and I cannot get over those blue eyes! I think my favorite is the one of him showing us all how big he is, though he is such an adorable little guy, it's hard to choose just one!

Jessie + Andrew [North Liberty, IA Maternity Photography]

I am pretty sure I've said it before, but I'll say it again - I love photographing maternity sessions (and lifestyle newborn). I love how excited and happy the parents are, and it's true that a pregnant woman just glows.

Jessie and Andrew are expecting their first little one in October, and I had a wonderful maternity session with them out at the lake. Jessie is from Minnesota, so she wanted something near the water, and these two had a beautiful night for their session. I loved the field of black eyed susans, in fact, we just pulled off the road to stop and grab some shots there and I'm so glad we did!
