The B Family [Iowa City, IA Family and Child Photography]

A couple of Fridays ago, on a windy but gorgeous October evening, I got to hang out with the absolutely gorgeous B Family. Not only is this family beautiful, but so kind and fun!! Olivia, Isabel, Anna, and of course their golden-doodle Charlie kept me on my toes throughout the session, which was awesome. I definitely wish I could bottle some of Isabel's energy, she was cracking me up and bursting with energy the entire session. She also made Josh feel pretty special, chanting his name repeatedly. ;)

I asked each of the girls what their favorite things were - Isabel said "Hershey's", Olivia said "I-Carly", and Anna said "Bubble Guppies". :) So cute, these three!!









Amy and Rodrigo were telling me they've been together since they were 17 years old. Pretty awesome if you ask me!! :)

Bri + Colby [Humboldt, IA Maternity Life Cycle Photography]

I have to admit, it is strange for me to see my baby sister pregnant, but I am SO beyond thrilled to be an aunt and I can't wait until BriAnne and Colby's baby girl joins our family in mid September. I was home to co-host a joint baby shower this weekend (another younger sister of mine is also expecting in November, it's a regular baby boom!!), and we took advantage of the beautiful weather to take maternity photos in my parents' backyard. It was a beautiful night (despite the typical accident prone Bohan shenanagins, of course), and of course - my sister is stunning. I don't think I've ever seen her look so happy, she was positively glowing.

Bri and Colby - I'm so very happy for you guys, and I can't wait to meet baby girl very soon. I love you both, and I hope your love continues to grow as your family does.

Sarah + David [North Liberty, IA Maternity Photography]

Sarah and David are one of those couples that the moment Sarah emailed me, I knew we would be a perfect fit. They are so sweet, and love their dogs just as much as I love my little Einstein and Clara! Sarah and David met at Luther College (hence the names for their cute little puppies - Martin, and Luther) and have a shared love of music. They are expecting their first baby, a little girl, in September. I can't wait to meet her!!

We did their session last Sunday evening, which was the most perfect weather I think I've ever seen in July (felt like September!!). Not only that, but the wild flowers are blooming like crazy and we were able to take advantage of some really beautiful scenery to compliment this glowing, crazy in love couple.

Sarah, David, Martin, and Luther - thank you SO much for choosing me to photograph you at this incredibly precious and exciting time in your lives. It was truly an honor to have met you, I can't wait to see you again once baby girl arrives!! I hope you like this preview.

Jack [Mt. Vernon, IA Newborn Photography]

Back in 2011, I photographed Nikki & Devon's engagement and wedding photos, so when they told me they were expecting a little one I was super excited for them! These two are such caring, sweet people that I knew they would make amazing parents.

Jack was born on April 6th, so he was just 14 days old for his session. He was a great model, and I can't get enough of those long eyelashes and cute little face.

Nikki & Devon - Thank you so much for trusting me to document your new addition. Jack is absolutely precious and I'm so thrilled for you both. I can't wait to see how your family grows, thank you again for allowing me to be a part of your story.

I loved all of the little touches Nikki and Devon had around Jack's nursery (the bear played peekaboo!), especially the family heirlooms like the photo and the ceramic baby shoe.
