Maura and Marisa [Iowa City, IA Child Photography]
These two little sweeties were so much fun to photograph!! I met them a couple of weeks ago, and photographed them hanging out and playing in their wooded backyard. I especially love photographing kids in their home environment, as they tend to be much more comfortable and I think their personalities shine through a bit more in their own space. I (along with Coelle) spent the session playing games with Maura and Marisa, jumping off stumps, racing in the backyard, and roaming barefoot through the grass.

Alisha + Greg + Mocha [Coralville, IA Family Photography]
Alisha and Greg not only had the perfect evening for their session (a little muggy, but hey - that's summer in IA!), but got their Iowa River Power session in right before the area flooded. The spot where Alisha and their pup Mocha are sitting? Yeah, that's now under water.
Alisha and Greg recently celebrated their wedding anniversary on July 3rd, and Greg needed some new head shots for work, so they decided to make a family session out of it! These two are awesome, and a joy to photograph. Hello...stunning!! It was so much fun getting to know them, and I just love their little pup Mocha too! I knew they were my kind of people when they mentioned they have more photos of Mocha on their phones than anything else (I'm also guilty of that, as anyone who follows me on Instagram clearly knows), and she's pretty much a child to them instead of just a pet (also, guilty of this!).

Kathryn + Brian [Ames, IA Family Photography]
Kathryn and Brian are one of my wedding couples from 2011, where they were married in a beautiful garden ceremony in Kathryn's parents' backyard. Fast forward 2 years and they are celebrating an anniversary, have added Kahn (a sweet pit bull) to their family of 3 (Haven has been in the picture for awhile!). I really adore these two, they are so kind and it's always fun to spend time with past brides and grooms!!
We started the session out at their home, outside of Ames, and then ventured to a gorgeous park near their house. After an entire day of rain, we ended up with an absolutely perfect evening for photos, so we were very thankful for that!!
