Meredith [Plainfield, IL Lifestyle Newborn Photographer]

Sweet Meredith! This was such a fun session because I got to see Ryan and Kelly again after photographing their gorgeous wedding 4 years ago. Time seriously flies!

They've done tons of traveling as a married couple, and decorated this little peanut's nursery with all kinds of things they've brought back from their trips (including a little Costa Rican stuffed sloth toy that is peeking out of the hot air balloons above the rocking chair).

I also got to meet the world's most adorable dog, Indy! Seriously, the personality on this dog makes me want to photograph her all day. If you have a dog, you must include them in your newborn session, they were your first "baby" after all. ;)

And finally, one of the most special things we photographed was Ryan rocking his daughter in the chair that belonged to his great grandmother and has rocked every generation of his family (Meredith makes 4!). How incredible is that? I hope that they will always treasure that photo, and someday Meredith will love it too!

Haley [Plainfield, IL Lifestyle Newborn Photographer]

Sweet Haley, such a sleepy little thing for her newborn session this past weekend! She was two weeks old and perfection. Big sister Riley was so gentle and sweet with her new little sister, and I swear she did that closed eye hug/snuggle all on her own!

Eliza [Naperville Lifestyle Newborn Photographer]

Sweet Eliza. She did so amazing for her newborn session, giving us both wide awake and sleepy photos! Big brother Sebastian was such a charmer and is SO sweet with his new sister. Best part of lifestyle newborn sessions? They take place at the client's home, which is less stressful for the new parents, big brother (or sister), AND the baby. Plus, how fun will it be when your kids are older to look back on these photos of everyone snuggled together in the home they grew up in. Greta [Naperville Lifestyle Newborn Photographer]

Man, newborn sessions will always have my heart! I just love hanging out with new, squishy little babies, and their families during this special time. The best thing about lifestyle sessions? It's relaxed, easy, and you don't have to cart your new baby and all of their stuff to a studio. Plus, if you have older children like Elsie here, she can play with her normal toys, have a snack, watch TV...whatever, while we take photos that she might not be in! Plus, you get really cozy, sweet photos of you loving on your babe in your home, and someday that will mean a lot to him/her. Sounds like a win-win to me, right?

Greta was awesome during her session, and so was big sister Elsie. Even though one of these photos (probably my favorite one ever) suggests she is not too into having a sibling, she really does love that little peanut! Which photo is your fave?
