Andrea and Jake - thanks for allowing me to photograph your family! I hope you enjoy the sneak peek.
The S Family [North Liberty, IA Family Photography]
I met Andrea after perusing Etsy one day and noticing that the newborn headband I was looking at was made by someone in North Liberty. I contacted her, we met for coffee, and the rest is history! :) Since then, Andrea has been a great friend to me, and is very talented as well (check out her work at her Etsy shop Forever Handmade - you can also buy her items at Itsy Bitsy Boutique!). I was so excited that she and her husband Jake chose me to photograph their little family this fall, these two are so sweet together. Their dog Rowdy was nothing less than a perfect model during the entire session at Kent Park, and I saw later on Facebook that he slept quite well that evening!

Tara + Joe [Tiffin, IA Engagement Photography]
Last weekend Josh and I met Tara and Joe at Kent Park for the most gorgeous Sunday afternoon engagement session. The leaves were still vibrant in areas of the park and I had the sweetest, most loving couple to photograph. I left this session with a huge smile on my face, not only because taking photos of people as much in love as Tara and Joe is the best part of my job - but also because I'm so thankful to have such wonderful clients.
Tara and Joe, you two are amazing and we are honored to be a part of your wedding in April. I think we got some really beautiful photos, and the love between the two of you is very evident. I hope you love this sneak peek, thank you again for a wonderful afternoon!
It's always so hard to choose a favorite but I think these first two are in a very close tie. I adore the way they are looking at each other in both of them - just beautiful!! In fact, I may have squealed in excitement after taking this first one. Haha.
This one is a favorite too, so sweet.

Katie + Luke [Cedar Rapids, IA Engagement Photography]
I met Katie (and her lovely parents) this summer, and I was so thrilled when I got the email that she and her fiance Luke would be booking me for their July, 2013 wedding. Katie and Luke truly have something special, namely, chemistry...by the boatload. Not only are they a dream to photograph, they were so much fun to be around. I don't think I've laughed so much in quite awhile!
Katie and Luke, you two are so incredibly funny and sweet, and you really made my job so easy last Saturday evening. I was excited to photograph your wedding before this session, but now I truly cannot wait! I hope you guys enjoy this preview, know that it was nearly impossible to narrow it down to these. :)
This image is one of my absolute favorites!
Katie did a great job of scouting the session location, these stairs were perfect.

The H Family: Elizabeth and Pete [Mt. Vernon, IA Child Photography]
Early on Saturday morning, I met the H family in Mt. Vernon to take holiday photos of Elizabeth and Pete. I have to say, these kids are troopers! It was chilly, and the ground was still pretty damp from the rain we received on Friday but they did a great job! Their English Goldendoodle Harry (named due to his very furry coat) came along for some photos as well, what a sweet pup.
Huge thanks to the entire H family, it was a pleasure meeting you all! I hope you enjoy the preview.
I asked Pete what his favorite food is, he said "steak!". He also loves tractors (John Deere), a true Iowa boy at heart!!
Love the smiles in this one, their mom had just asked them to tell me about their crazy cat!
Elizabeth likes to watch the movie Elf around the holidays, and we had a few laughs as we shared our favorite parts of the movie!
