The W Family [Naperville Maternity and Family Photographer]

Marcie and Chris did a Day in the Life session several years ago, so it was super fun seeing how much their kids have grown since then! Marcie won the Mommy & Me session giveaway and upgraded to a family session, but we still focused a lot on the mommy & me aspect and snagged some maternity pics too! We had a pretty hot and humid summer day for this session, but they were troopers and we got some really great pics. Shantha + Ian [Chicago Maternity Photographer]

Shantha and Ian are expecting their first little one any day now, and a month ago she was looking absolutely radiant as a mama-to-be! These two met at work, where they are both teachers, and I learned Ian is also a fantastic nature photographer!

So thankful for the beautiful weather for their session (despite getting rained out for the first one), including the gorgeous leaves here in Ohio. We did their photos out at Squire's Castle, and had so much fun! Here are some of my favorites from their session, enjoy!

Monica + Keith [Shorewood, IL Maternity Photography]

The R Family [Plainfield, IL Maternity Photography]

This session was especially fun for a couple of reasons - one being that this mama-to-be is my younger sister, and I got to spend time with my sweet niece Waverly who is about to become a big sister. When we were little, we used to call my sister Abby "The Terrorizer" because she was constantly instigating and found it quite humorous to irritate us in any way possible. So, it's extra fun seeing her as a mom, though she still has that devilish way about her...like the time she bought those yappy dog robots in the mall for all of the nieces and nephews at Christmas (which she conveniently wasn't in attendance for). I think somehow those all got "lost"...thankfully, I only have a dog, so no annoying toy for me that year!

Anyways, I can't wait to meet baby girl in August! Here are some of my favorites from their maternity session.

The S Family [Detroit, MI Maternity Photographer]

This maternity session is for some of my favorites! My boyfriend Jakob's cousin and his wife are expecting their first little one (a boy!!) and I traveled to the Detroit area to meet up with them for a maternity session back in late May. It was POURING the day that we had set aside for their photos, and with a jam packed weekend we had to figure out a way to make it work.

We scrapped our original location, due to the 30 minute drive, and changed it to one closer to where we were all staying. I was up at 7:00 AM watching the radar like a hawk, and when we spotted a brief 20-30 minute break in the rain we managed to sneak in this quick maternity session. Thankfully, Michigan spring was still in full force so the trees were all still blooming and I was SO excited for all these pretty flowery photos to document this time in Genevieve and Scott's journey toward parenthood. I can't wait to meet baby S!

The K Family [Naperville Maternity Photographer]

I am behind...so behind...on blogging adorable sessions for you guys! This one we had planned for "spring", which as you know did not occur until approximately May 5th in Iowa. I think this was the third weather related reschedule (the first was a massive late April snowstorm) so these three braved the chilly temps so we could document Kaytee's pregnancy before baby #2 decided to make her arrival!
