It's a new year, and my goal is to blog all of my remaining 2016 sessions that I never got around to blogging. Whew. This may be a task - but I have so many families, newborns, and engagements that definitely need to be seen! So, I'll try to keep each one short and sweet, but I definitely feel it's necessary to get caught up. So, I'm going to start with my sister Abby and her husband Nate, who are expecting their first sweet little girl VERY soon. I can't wait to be an aunt again, but more importantly I am ready for the suspense of "what will they name her?!" to be over! I have my guesses...but we shall see if I am correct!

Allison + Cody [Iowa City Wedding Photographer]
Allison and Cody were married in a winter wonderland at Celebration Farm on December 10th, courtesy of Mother Nature, Adam Covington Signature Studios, and Unique Events. It was the most incredible snow globe of a day, and being my first winter wedding, it could not have been more perfect. The day started at the Marriott where Allison got ready amongst her mom and bridesmaids, followed by a first look with Cody at the barns which were decorated with Christmas trees, a plethora of candles, and greenery adorned tables.
Allison and Cody are huge dog lovers, and incorporated their two pups Stella and Dash into not just the photos but the ceremony as well. Every single part of their day was intimate and perfect, and it was an honor to document the start of their marriage. They are just as beautiful on the inside as they are on the outside, and I'm so excited to share this sneak peek of their day!
Isn't this print that Cody had made for Allison amazing? It has all of the elements of their first date, and other parts of their life that are important to them - their pups, their first home, and Kinnick Stadium.
Allison and Cody's bridal party gave their toasts in private in the moments leading up to the ceremony - it was so much fun to hear all of the reasons why Cody and Allison are important to them.
