Jessie + Andrew [North Liberty, IA Maternity Photography]

I am pretty sure I've said it before, but I'll say it again - I love photographing maternity sessions (and lifestyle newborn). I love how excited and happy the parents are, and it's true that a pregnant woman just glows.

Jessie and Andrew are expecting their first little one in October, and I had a wonderful maternity session with them out at the lake. Jessie is from Minnesota, so she wanted something near the water, and these two had a beautiful night for their session. I loved the field of black eyed susans, in fact, we just pulled off the road to stop and grab some shots there and I'm so glad we did!

Lilly: 6 Months [Coralville, IA Child Photography]

Sweet Lilly...I can't believe my niece is 6 months old already! It seems like not that long ago we were all anxiously waiting her arrival. I love this girl to pieces, and here's a little peek at her session!

Finnley [North Liberty, IA Newborn Lifestyle Photography]

Sweet Finnley was 14 days old for his photo debut, and I cannot get over how snuggly and sweet he is! He loves his parents, his pacifier, and snuggly blankets and I had the best time photographing him.

It is always so much fun seeing new parents with their babies, especially if they did a maternity session with me. The excitement, wonder, and happiness is palpable and it's just such a fun experience.

Kaley and Patrick - Congratulations again on the birth of Finnley, he is adorable and so so sweet. I thank you again for the opportunity to photograph this time in your lives!

Finnley's nursery was adorable, and I especially loved the book collection, some of which were Patrick and Kaley's as children.

Emersyn [Grinnell, IA Lifestyle Newborn Photography]

I had the opportunity to photograph Morgan (my cousin) and Chris' sweet little girl Emersyn about a week and a half ago, when she was just 1 week old. She was SUCH a great baby!! We took a ton of photos and she slept nearly the whole time, she's a natural model I think. ;)

It's been so fun having all of these new babies born to family members, I am so thrilled for Morgan and Chris - Emersyn is just perfection. I can't wait to see her grow over the years.

Liam [Solon, IA Newborn Lifestyle Photography]

Sweet Liam. This little guy was such a great model during his newborn session a couple of weeks ago, on a very snowy Sunday. His mom, Aubrey (a Kate Middleton lookalike, no?), runs the awesome local wedding site called Bride Meets Wedding (check it out, it's a fabulous resource!!). Liam is Aubrey and Nick's first child, and they were total naturals. I just had so much fun photographing this little guy, he is so sweet and so handsome!
