Opie [North Liberty, IA Pet Photography]

I adore pet sessions so much, they truly make my whole day better. For this one, I met Opie and Amanda out on the trail for an early morning photo session a little over a week ago. This dog is just the cutest thing ever, and being that he's only 3-4 months old (he was a rescue, so age is approximate) Amanda wanted to capture some photos of him in puppy stage. We walked all along Squire point, stopping at a few of their favorite spots for some photos of Opie doing his favorite things - looking adorable, chewing on sticks, playing with his ball, and cuddling with his human. Stacie + Ian [Maquoketa, IA Engagement Photography]

Stacie and Ian are planning a September 12th wedding at the gorgeous barn in the photos below, just outside of Maquoketa. I had the pleasure of photographing them on a beautiful May evening, and had a lot of fun getting to know them better and seeing the location where they will be saying their vows. These two are so in love - they way they look at each other is just adorable, and photographing them was a lot of fun. Here are just a handful of my favorites - I hope you enjoy this sneak peek!

Callie: Newborn, Part One [Iowa City, IA Fresh 48 Newborn Photography]

Pattie and Benton, along with big sister Josie welcomed baby Callie to the world on May 1st. I had the opportunity to photograph her the next day, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. This is the second time I've done a fresh 48 session and I love it! Such a different way to document their arrival, and these guys did it in addition to a regular lifestyle newborn session a week later. It was a lot of fun to see Josie in her new big sister role, and she had a great time playing with the stethoscope...future doctor like mom and dad?
