Josie + Brandon [Iowa City Wedding Photography]

Josie and Brandon had an absolutely stunning wedding at the Barn on the Ridge in Burlington, IA at the end of August. The peach and gold details were perfection, and they had the most beautiful weather for their outdoor ceremony. Their ceremony was officiated by the always amazing Scherie Gates and included a unique unity ceremony where the bride and groom honored their agriculture background by blending corn and soybeans into a singular vase. Immediately following the ceremony, the entire bridal party hopped on a hayrack for a ride around the beautiful Iowa countryside. The reception was of course, beautiful, and the desserts from Bread Garden were a huge hit (I'm fairly certain the mini pies didn't last long!). Congratulations again to Josie and Brandon, and thank you to all of their family and friends for making Josh and I feel so welcome! It was an honor to photograph your day, and I hope you enjoy this sneak peek.

Allison + Cody: Day in the Life [Iowa City Lifestyle Photography]

I'm photographing Allison and Cody's wedding this December, and when we met and they asked me if they could do a "Day in the Life" shoot for their engagement I was beyond thrilled. As you all know, this is the type of photography I'm super passionate about and could truly do sessions like this all day long. For Allison + Cody's day in the life, we recreated their first date (first ice cream at Dairy Queen, then a beer at Stella), and took the dogs out to play in one of their fave spots. To round out this awesome afternoon, they spent some time on the couch with the pups, followed by a bath for the dogs, but turned out Cody got a bath as well. I hope you all enjoy this session as much as I did!

The S Family [Iowa City Extended Family Photography]

This session was another gift, from my good friend Coelle and her siblings to their parents. As someone from a large family myself, as everyone gets older and has families of their own, it gets more and more difficult to get everyone together.
