The B Family [Chicago Extended Family Photographer]

This session was a gift to Joanne and Dan from their children (and grandchildren) for Christmas! I LOVE when families decide to do this! Pro tip: You get tons of photos from these sessions, each family, all the kiddos, etc. It's the BEST holiday gift for any parent or grandparent, just sayin'.

We had a fantastic (but unseasonably warm) session - I felt bad for the poor guys in all of their sweaters!! We took photos at their lake house, as well as on the beach near their home. The S Family [Shorewood, IL Extended Family Photographer]

Happy Thursday everyone! Today is a family I photographed for the first time last month, and I had SO much fun getting to know all of them! Extended family sessions are a GREAT way to stretch your $$, honestly, because you can involve multiple families (splitting the cost!) and get individual photos as well as photos that include everyone! It's a great gift idea for grandparents too, *hint, hint*!

Anyways, back to this family. These guys were a dream to work with, so laid back, and the kiddos were super fun! We were lucky to have a beautiful sun filled evening, and the park did not disappoint with a gorgeous backdrop. I hope you enjoy these highlights from their session!

The S Family [Iowa City Extended Family Photography]

This session was another gift, from my good friend Coelle and her siblings to their parents. As someone from a large family myself, as everyone gets older and has families of their own, it gets more and more difficult to get everyone together. The B Family [Coralville, IA Extended Family Session]

My coworker Megan was looking for a Christmas gift for her parents last year, and around Christmastime I typically offer a mini session at a discounted rate - which you can purchase as a gift card and use when the weather gets warmer. Anyways, she purchased that for her parents and so when the weather got warm, we got together for some family photos! These guys were so much fun, and what a gorgeous family (and sweet too!). I love when families take the time for photos, even when their children are grown and starting families of their own. Photos are always an amazing gift, and you will never regret doing them - I promise! ;)
