Willa [North Liberty, IA Newborn and Family Life Cycle Photography]

Willa came into the world on August 15th (my birthday, funny enough) - absolutely perfect and with a beautiful head of hair. :) Her parents Alicia and Nick are positively glowing with happiness as they adjust to life as new parents. I joined them in their home this past Saturday and Willa was the most perfect model. Seriously, this little sweetie set a new record for sleeping through a newborn session!

Alicia and Nick - Congratulations again on the birth of sweet baby Willa. It was so wonderful to see you all as a new family, and I appreciate so much being invited into your lives to capture these moments for you. I hope you like this preview.

Ruffles + Ribbons Baby Shower [Personal]

My family is currently preparing to welcome two new additions this fall, with 2 of my younger sisters expecting their first babies (both girls!!). So, to celebrate, we threw them a pink and white adorned, ruffles and ribbons themed baby shower on August 17th. Here are some photos from their day! :)

We held the shower at The Vincent House in Fort Dodge, IA (near my hometown of Humboldt), an old Victorian House which was absolutely beautiful. Cookies were made by Sprinkles & Company, Cupcakes by 4 Sweet Sisters, frozen yogurt bar and toppings were purchased by family/friends.

Julian: 6 Months [Iowa City, IA Child and Family Life Cycle Photography]

I can't believe Julian, whose newborn session I photographed at the very beginning of January, is 6 months old already! This little guy just keeps getting cuter by the day, and we had a fabulous time at his session by the lake on Father's Day. His parents, Coelle & Chris are some of my favorite people to spend an evening photographing - they love to laugh and I always have the best time hanging out with this little family.

Coelle and Chris - thank you for choosing me to photograph Julian again! We had so much fun hanging out with you guys, we must do it again soon. :) Julian is a doll, I hope you guys like the preview!

Leo and the E Family [Iowa City, IA Child & Family Life Cycle Photography]

You may recall Leo's newborn session last year, but you might not recognize this little guy - he has grown and changed so much, it's amazing!! We spent a rainy afternoon this past Sunday with Leo, his brother Jack, and his parents - Laina and Matt in their Iowa City home. We had a great time, reading books, singing round after round (sorry again guys, I hope my voice wasn't too frightening!!) of Itsy Bitsy Spider, and laughing.

Did I say three favorites? Let's just say four...I love that the two boys look exactly the same in this - not planned, I swear!!
