Josie [Iowa City, IA Newborn Life Cycle Photography]

Josephine Marie (Josie) was born on May 19th, and made her photography debut this past Sunday at just 2 weeks old. It was so much fun to meet her, she was wide eyed and alert almost the entire session, which allowed me to see her beautiful eyes! I can't tell you how many times I gushed to Pattie and Benton about how gorgeous she is, so instead of just repeating myself over and over I will just let the images speak for themselves. My favorite part of the session is seeing Pattie & Benton so happy and in love with their new addition.

Pattie and Benton - thank you so much for inviting us into your lives and home to photograph Josie and your family. Josie is such a precious gift, congratulations again!

I love so many of the photos, but the one on the right is my all time favorite.

Of course, we can't forget about darling Ruby...who really just wanted some belly rubs. :)

I love the robin's egg blue (or Tiffany blue, if you prefer) that they used in Josie's nursery. Pattie said she found the rug first, at Anthropologie, and decorated from there.

Nora: 1 Year [North Liberty IA Child Photography]

I can't believe Nora is one already!! Today is her actual 1st birthday, and we took these photos last Saturday (despite the crazy swarms of gnats!!). Nora is an absolute doll, as you can see, and I just love her smile. I have been friends with Stacy and Matt for several years now, so I keep telling them I'll just borrow her to get my baby fix. We're still in negotiations. ;)

Of course, an M family photo session wouldn't be complete with out Mocha, their super sweet Maltese pup (and Einstein's girlfriend).

Stacy and Matt - Thanks for the opportunity to photograph Nora again, I can't believe how fast time has flown, it seems like just a few short months ago she was a newborn! I hope you love the sneak peek.

Max: 1 Year [North Liberty, IA Child and Family Photography]

I can't believe Max is one! It seems like just a couple of months ago that I photographed his parents at their maternity session, and then his newborn session. Melissa, Dave, and Max are such a wonderful, sweet, fun family and I'm so thankful to have them as clients. We had beautiful weather for Max's 1 year session, and Melissa did a fabulous job of bringing a lot of great stuff for Max to be photographed with, as well as keep him entertained.

His bow tie and suspenders onesie and newsboy hat are from one of my favorite stores for locally made and unique baby gifts and outfits for photo sessions, Itsy Bitsy Boutique in North Liberty!

Melissa, Dave, and Max - thank you so much for the opportunity to photograph Max's 1 year milestone. I can't believe how much he's grown, and it was absolutely wonderful seeing you all again. I hope you enjoy the preview!

I always try and talk my parents into getting some photos of just the two of them...their relationship is important to document too! This one reminded me a lot of some we took at their maternity session a little over a year ago. Love!

Jack [Mt. Vernon, IA Newborn Photography]

Back in 2011, I photographed Nikki & Devon's engagement and wedding photos, so when they told me they were expecting a little one I was super excited for them! These two are such caring, sweet people that I knew they would make amazing parents.

Jack was born on April 6th, so he was just 14 days old for his session. He was a great model, and I can't get enough of those long eyelashes and cute little face.

Nikki & Devon - Thank you so much for trusting me to document your new addition. Jack is absolutely precious and I'm so thrilled for you both. I can't wait to see how your family grows, thank you again for allowing me to be a part of your story.

I loved all of the little touches Nikki and Devon had around Jack's nursery (the bear played peekaboo!), especially the family heirlooms like the photo and the ceramic baby shoe.
