Courtney and Adam are planning an October wedding this year in the Chicago area, and we had a fantastic night for their engagement session on an exceptionally warm day in November. We ended the evening on the bench where Adam proposed this past August! Here are some of my favorites from the session...

Riley + Jake [Cedar Rapids Engagement Photography]

These two met while tailgating and she invited him over to check out her speakers. A dance party commenced, and the rest, as they say...is history! Now they are planning an October wedding at Sutliff Cider, and if their wedding is as much fun as their engagement session was (despite the abnormally warm weather...) I know it's going to be amazing! Also, they brought their puppies, and we all know how I feel about that (the more puppies the better, in my opinion!). Here are some of my favorites from their session at Palisades Park!

Allison + Cody: Day in the Life [Iowa City Lifestyle Photography]

I'm photographing Allison and Cody's wedding this December, and when we met and they asked me if they could do a "Day in the Life" shoot for their engagement I was beyond thrilled. As you all know, this is the type of photography I'm super passionate about and could truly do sessions like this all day long. For Allison + Cody's day in the life, we recreated their first date (first ice cream at Dairy Queen, then a beer at Stella), and took the dogs out to play in one of their fave spots. To round out this awesome afternoon, they spent some time on the couch with the pups, followed by a bath for the dogs, but turned out Cody got a bath as well. I hope you all enjoy this session as much as I did!

Jennifer + Pedro [Iowa City, IA Engagement Photography]

Jennifer and Pedro are planning an August wedding this year at Sugar Grove Vineyards in Newton, and we met for their engagement session shortly after Christmas. These guys were troopers, for sure, as they live in Las Vegas so this cold Iowa weather was a bit of a cold slap (even to me, and I'm used to it on a daily basis this time of year!). We met out at the lake, and went to some of my favorite spots, and even managed to capture Iowa's version of a waterfall. My favorite thing about these two is how much they love to laugh, and enjoy being playful with each other which made them incredibly easy to photograph and get to know them better! Here are some of my personal favorites, as well as many that they chose for themselves. I hope you enjoy!
