Kelly and Ryan are planning an August 2015 wedding and I have been looking forward to their engagement session since they booked! Third time was a charm in terms of weather, and we had an absolutely gorgeous fall day for their photos. These two are absolutely adorable together, and we had a blast getting to know them better.

The B Family [Wellman, IA Family and Child Photography]
This session was a long time in the making, as schedules and weather kept getting in the way, but finally on a somewhat chilly Monday evening we made it happen! I met the B Family when I photographed Erin for Cake & Whiskey magazine this spring, and I was thrilled that they invited me back out to their farm to take some family photos. TJ and Peyton are awesome kids, and we had a great time taking photos around their property. We even got to take photos with TJ on his favorite tractor!

This post features a personal project that was a collaboration alongside Holly Richter from Tru Salon in Coralville (one super talented lady!!). We have been getting together several times this year to do some editorial shoots for Tru, and have been having so much fun and feeling so inspired that we decided to work together to keep our passion for what we do going strong and creative juices flowing.
I love what I do, photographing families, children, etc but there's something very freeing about shooting just for myself. This project has opened up my creativity and reignited my passion for photography in ways I didn't expect. I really love these little projects, and I hope you do too! Thanks to my assistant Ashley for modeling, she did awesome!
