Second Shooting [Wedding #1 Link]
Life via Instagram [June & July 4th]
Life has been busy lately, as I'm sure it is for all of you as well. Summer so far has been full of photo sessions, weddings (+ second shooting a few times for the insanely talented Mindy Myers - can you say dream opportunity?!), and spending time with friends, family, and the pups. Here are a few phone pics that have been captured along the way, hope your summer has been wonderful so far!
Top row (left to right): A great quote from the book Bloom, sunset off the deck, a sweet thank you from Kathryn & Brian, naptime for the pups. 2nd row: Rainbow at my sister's housewarming party, sparklers on the 4th, double trouble, snuggling Miss Sophia.
One quick note about scheduling - fall is nearly full, please consider booking early if you're thinking of doing photos this fall. October and November are all that's left at this point! This has been the most amazing year and it's only July!! I am so very grateful for everything that's come my way this year, thank you!!

Kathryn + Brian [Iowa City, IA Garden Wedding Photography]
Kathryn and Brian were married last Saturday, June 23rd in a beautiful garden ceremony at her parents' home in Iowa City. It was the perfect location for these two to start their lives together, and it was an absolutely wonderful day. If you want to see even more photos from their day, click HERE to view their custom wedding website.
We started out the day taking lots of detail photos, Kathryn and her mom made intricate origami hearts and orbs that hung from the trees and fences. The florist (Fountain of Flowers) helped to transform their backyard into an even more lush garden paradise!
Kathryn's dress was unbelievable, something out of a fairy tale with all the ruffles and tulle.
Kathryn and Brian chose not to see each other before the ceremony, and despite being just one floor apart in the same house, we managed to keep them from getting a peek. Kathryn and the bridesmaids' hair and makeup was done by Lotus Salon and Darla Jaquay at Lotus. They all looked amazing, and Kathryn looked especially beautiful.

After the ceremony we headed to Willow Creek park to get some more photos before heading to the reception.
The reception was held at Vesta, and featured a smorgasboard of delicious drinks, food, and desserts.
Kathryn and Brian did a wish tree in lieu of a traditional guest book.
