The A Family [Iowa City, IA Extended Family Photography]

I don't get the opportunity to photograph extended families very often, and when I do, I typically don't blog them as they are rarely candid or what I would consider my typical style of photography. However, with the A family, who I met up with when everyone was visiting over the holidays, I had so much fun that I had to share. These guys were a ton of fun, and how cute are these kiddos? I love some of the candid shots, and a family that loves to laugh always makes the session a great time! Here are some of my favorites, I hope you enjoy!

Jennifer + Pedro [Iowa City, IA Engagement Photography]

Jennifer and Pedro are planning an August wedding this year at Sugar Grove Vineyards in Newton, and we met for their engagement session shortly after Christmas. These guys were troopers, for sure, as they live in Las Vegas so this cold Iowa weather was a bit of a cold slap (even to me, and I'm used to it on a daily basis this time of year!). We met out at the lake, and went to some of my favorite spots, and even managed to capture Iowa's version of a waterfall. My favorite thing about these two is how much they love to laugh, and enjoy being playful with each other which made them incredibly easy to photograph and get to know them better! Here are some of my personal favorites, as well as many that they chose for themselves. I hope you enjoy!

The M Family [Iowa City, IA Family and Child Photography]

I adore this family! Wendy and Brandon are so sweet, and their kids are just the cutest. I photographed them on one of the coldest days in 2014 and they were amazing troopers, so this year we definitely lucked out in the weather department. Here are a handful of my favorites from their session, and looking at these makes me long for warmer weather (I think this weekend it's supposed to be in the 50's, break out the short sleeves people!!). Anyways, huge thanks to Wendy and Brandon for choosing me to photograph their family again, it's always such a pleasure!

Oliver [Olathe, KS Newborn Photography]

Casey and Matt were one of the sweetest, most genuine couples I've ever met, and I have adored them since the day we did their engagement photos in Kansas City. Their wedding was an incredible day, and I was honored to be invited to do their maternity and newborn photos when they found out they were expecting. Oliver was just the cutest little guy, and he did a great job for his first official photo session. It was so wonderful to see these guys, and of course Darla, again! I hope you enjoy this handful of my favorites from their session.

The S Family [Iowa City, IA Maternity Photography]

The S family is expecting their second little one, and I was so thrilled that they chose to do maternity photos again! This mama is so beautiful, am I right? We had a great time at their session, and a huge thanks to Kristen's parents for coming along and being my assistants for the session - they did a great job of entertaining Ryker! Here's a handful of my favorites...
