Carly + Jake [South Slope Wedding Photography, North Liberty, IA]

Carly and Jake were married on an absolutely perfect August day at South Slope in North Liberty. These two are from Iowa, but now live in Colorado, so though I didn't get the chance to take engagement photos of them - I was very much looking forward to their wedding. These two are so kind, sweet, and you could truly feel the love and support from all of people who were there to support them as Carly and Jake joined their lives together.

Carly loves rainbows, so they celebrated with an explosion of rainbow colored everything - from the different colored vests on the men to match with the bridesmaid's flowers and shoes, to the stocked candy bar at the reception, and of course, the flower adorned cake. The rainbow is said to symbolize good fortune, and I think it's safe to say that Carly and Jake have boatloads of it coming their way.

Carly and Jake - thank you so much for choosing us to be a part of your day. It was such a wonderful celebration, and we are glad we had the opportunity to get to know you and Jake. We wish you nothing but happiness now, and always.

I truly can't believe how fast this summer has flown by, I hope you all have been enjoying the beautiful weather we've been having! I've been spending a lot of time shooting weddings, maternity, and tiny little newborns the past few months - but I've found some time to have a little fun and relax as well. Here's a peek at what I've been up to, via Instagram...

Hope your week is going well! Just a quick note, weekday sessions are now available starting October 1st! Also - I am full for weddings for May and June 2014. So exciting!! Looking forward to everything coming up this fall and next year - feeling very blessed.

Sarah + David [North Liberty, IA Maternity Photography]

Sarah and David are one of those couples that the moment Sarah emailed me, I knew we would be a perfect fit. They are so sweet, and love their dogs just as much as I love my little Einstein and Clara! Sarah and David met at Luther College (hence the names for their cute little puppies - Martin, and Luther) and have a shared love of music. They are expecting their first baby, a little girl, in September. I can't wait to meet her!!

We did their session last Sunday evening, which was the most perfect weather I think I've ever seen in July (felt like September!!). Not only that, but the wild flowers are blooming like crazy and we were able to take advantage of some really beautiful scenery to compliment this glowing, crazy in love couple.

Sarah, David, Martin, and Luther - thank you SO much for choosing me to photograph you at this incredibly precious and exciting time in your lives. It was truly an honor to have met you, I can't wait to see you again once baby girl arrives!! I hope you like this preview.
