Kelsey & Jared [Solon, IA Lake MacBride Engagement Photography]

Kelsey and Jared are not only completely adorable, but sweet and so much fun as well. When Kelsey emailed me to discuss locations and had envisioned something including a boat, I was super excited because I'd been wanting to do a session like this for awhile. We had the perfect evening for it last Saturday, though we had to improvise with a canoe instead of a rowboat as Kelsey originally had in mind. Either way, the sunset lit lake provided a stunning backdrop, and I loved the colorful paddle boats lining the old wooden dock.

Kelsey and Jared - I cannot WAIT for your wedding in May, it is going to be beautiful and so much fun. Thank you for choosing us to document such an important time in your lives, we are so honored and thrilled. I hope you like this sneak peek!! Thanks for a wonderful evening.

Hallie & Andrew [Solon, IA Celebration Barn Engagement Photography]

Hallie and Andrew will be married at the gorgeous Celebration Barn this September, and the owner, Dick Schwab graciously allowed us to utilize the barn (and the gorgeous restored truck in some of the images) for their engagement session this past Sunday. Sadly, there wasn't as much snow as Hallie and Andrew had hoped, but the chill in the air helped to set the mood for this wintery session.

These two are gorgeous, funny, and have amazing style (I think I might need to go shopping with Hallie sometime!!), which made their session an absolute breeze. They also brought along their pup Remy (hopefully I spelled that correctly!) who enjoyed roaming the property in between his modeling duties.

Hallie & Andrew - I'm so looking forward to your wedding in September, I know it will be amazing and I can't wait to see everything come together. We had so much fun at your session on Sunday, I just know that the wedding day will be just as fantastic. I hope you like the sneak peek!

Elayne + Steve [Solon, IA Brosh Chapel Wedding Photography]

Elayne and Steve were married on a sunny, beautiful afternoon on November 3rd. These two are such a wonderful couple, snd I love photographing these two because they always seem very present in the moment and are so sweet together. Steve knows just what to say to make Elayne laugh and smile, and Elayne looks as him as though he's the only person on the planet.

Elayne and Steve, congratulations!! You both looked fabulous, happy, and very much in love on your wedding day, and we wish you more of the same as you begin your journey together! It was a pleasure spending the day with you and your family & friends - everyone was SO kind and fun to be around. Thank you, thank you, thank you. I hope you like the preview!

As we took photos on the balcony between the ceremony and reception, we looked over to see Steve's sister and husband through the glass door. I just love this pic!





Elayne had a Star Wars groom's cake made for Steve, and he loved it!
