Ally + Macson [Iowa City, IA Family and Child Photography]

Ally and her son Macson - how cute are they?! This little guy cracks me up, and I had a great time playing the assistant role (shooting occasionally) to make him smile while Coelle completed her 4th practice session.

Macson is 20 months old, and he has a wonderful laugh and smile. This kid is just adorable!! I met Ally when she started working at Tru Salon, and she is just so fabulous - I was excited to get her and Macson in front of the camera. Coelle did a great job with her 4th session, and here are the results (plus a few of mine)!

Jessica + Frank [Coralville, IA Maternity Photography]

Third time was a charm for Jessica and Frank's session, as the first ones ended up getting rescheduled due to rain. But, they ended up with a gorgeous Sunday evening and I think it was worth the wait. :)

Jessica and Frank - where do I begin? I cannot gush enough about these two - they are clearly gorgeous, but also SO incredibly kind and fun - I think I laughed nearly the entire session. We began at their home so we could get a few photos with their pit bull Melrose (seriously, she is a huge sweetheart and we even got some big doggie smiles!) and then went to Fossil Gorge to finish the session. They are expecting their first, a baby boy, in early July and I am already looking forward to the newborn session!

Jessica and Frank - it was a blast hanging out with you, and I loved photographing you both (and Melrose!). You made my job so easy, but more than that you made the session a ton of fun. Can't wait for July!!

Probably my favorite maternity pic EVER...I may or may not have squealed in delight after I took this. Though, also may have done that several times throughout the session. So much goodness...

Ellie + Sue [Coralville, IA Family and Child Lifestyle Photography]

As a former nanny myself, I think this session was such a great idea - Elizabeth and Eric hired me to come take photos of their daughter Ellie & her nanny Sue who is moving away. Elizabeth thought that this would be a great way for Sue to have a reminder of sweet Ellie, who she has cared for since she was just a little tiny baby. It's evident by these photos what a bond these two have, and I enjoyed spending a morning with them doing some of their favorite things.
