Macayla + John [North Liberty, IA Engagement]

Macayla and John came down from the Waterloo/Cedar Falls area very early last Saturday morning, where we braved the chilly temperatures for their morning engagement session. I've known Macayla for a pretty long time - she went to school with my younger sister Bri Anne, her brother is my brother's best friend, and her parents are good friends of our family. I have gotten to know John a bit through the time they've been dating, and he is a great guy. So, I was obviously super excited when she and John got engaged and they contacted me about photographing their engagement and wedding!

Macayla and John have a pretty unique "how they met" story, as he was the tow truck driver who rescued her on the side of the road one night! The rest, as they say, is history...and these two are adorable together. I love seeing them both so happy!

Macayla and John - I am so thrilled to be photographing your wedding, and thank you for being such good sports about the chilly weather. We had the best time hanging out with you both - I hope you love this preview!

My favorite! (One of them at least...!)macaylajohn-2892 copy copy

Josh took the below photo. Isn't that fog coming off the lake amazing? I adore this photo.macaylajohn-7249 copy

Macayla and John love to go hunting, specifically deer hunting, and they are incorporating a hunting theme into their wedding next May. Even her ring was specially designed, when you look at it a certain way you notice that the prongs holding the diamond are deer antlers.
